  • Product Details
  • CHINA Huatao Group offers a factory-formed metal elbow insulation cladding designed to replace traditional multi-segment field-made covers. The product consists of two matched halves (upper and lower) that snap or screw together directly over the insulated pipe elbow.

It functions as a rigid outer protective shell for thermal insulation materials (rock wool, fiberglass, etc.). An inner liner version (same two-piece design) is also available for use as a pre-insulated elbow insert.

Material choices: aluminum, galvanized steel, or stainless steel (304/316). Thickness from 0.5 mm to 1.2 mm.

    Primary Applications

This two-piece elbow cladding is engineered for fast, durable insulation protection in:

Chemical & petrochemical plants – refineries, cracking units, steam lines

Thermal power stations – boiler feedwater, steam condensate, heating pipelines

Shipbuilding & offshore – engine room piping, ballast lines, exhaust systems

Metallurgical industry – hot air, gas, and slurry pipeline elbows

HVAC / building services – chilled water, hot water and fire protection elbows

Oil & gas transmission – above-ground pipe networks and compressor stations

    Diameter range: DN50 to DN1000 (2″ to 40″). Standard elbow angles: 45°, 90°, 180° (1.0D or 1.5D radius).

    Product Advantages

    FeaturePractical Benefit
Two-piece snap-fit designNo on-site cutting, welding or complex templating. Place both halves and secure.
Minimum seam gapsHeat loss reduced by >80% compared to traditional 8‑12 piece segmented covers.
Excellent water tightnessShorter, tighter seams prevent rain, washdown water, and humidity ingress – critical for outdoor and marine use.
High mechanical strengthOne-piece monolithic structure resists stepping, accidental tool drops, and light impacts. No denting or cracking during normal site activity.
90% faster installationA two-person team installs 30‑40 elbows per shift (traditional method: 3‑4 elbows). No skilled sheet-metal workers required.
ReusableCan be unbolted and reinstalled after pipe maintenance or modification – saves material cost by 50‑70%.
Low labor skill requirementGeneral laborers learn correct installation in <10 minutes.
Versatile fixing methodPre-drilled holes for self-tapping screws, pop rivets, or stainless steel band straps.
