Recently, Huatao Group, a leading Chinese supplier of pulp and paper equipment, reached an important cooperation agreement with a well-known abaca pulp producer in the Philippines. The Philippine client officially ordered two high-performance pressure screens to efficiently screen and purify its abaca (Manila hemp) pulp production line.
Abaca, as an important long-fiber natural plant fiber, is a high-quality raw material for the production of specialty paper, banknote paper, high-grade packaging materials, and textiles. The Philippines, as a major global producer of abaca, has extremely high requirements for the adaptability, screening accuracy, and stability of the equipment used in its pulp production process. The HT-64 pressure screen ordered this time is specifically designed to handle pulp with long fibers and high impurity content. It utilizes an advanced rotor structure and screen drum technology to efficiently remove fiber bundles, impurities, and insufficiently defibrated fiber knots from the pulp, significantly improving the cleanliness, uniformity, and final product quality of abaca pulp.
This collaboration is based on extensive prior technical exchanges. Huatao Group's technical team developed a customized screening solution for the client, specifically tailored to the characteristics of abaca fiber. This successfully addressed the client's pain point of difficulty in balancing screening efficiency and fiber retention in their existing production process. The deployment of two pressure screens is expected to help the client achieve the dual objectives of increased production capacity and reduced energy consumption, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of their end products in the market.
