**How to Effectively Choose the Best Corrugator Belt for Your Needs**

With the widespread adoption and application of high-speed carton machinery, the proper selection of compatible conveyor belts has garnered significant attention among carton manufacturing enterprises. Beyond the machinery's inherent performance, the quality and functionality of the conveyor belt—a complementary accessory—largely determine key economic and technical metrics in corrugated board processing, such as speed, efficiency, product quality, resource consumption, and energy conservation. Consequently, the question of how to appropriately select conveyor belts has become a critical issue in the production process.

Selection Criteria: Matching Operational Conditions

Board Type: Heavy-duty / Standard / Thin-gauge → Influences the required belt thickness and rigidity.
Process Segment: Traction Section (Thin-gauge recommended; 5–6 mm) vs. Drying and Setting Section (Thick-gauge recommended; 7–10 mm).
Equipment Parameters: Maximum operating speed, hot plate temperature (°C), and effective working width.

Belt Type: Needled vs. Woven

FeatureNeedled BeltWoven Belt
SurfaceNo marking, smoothWoven texture, may leave marks
Air permeabilityExcellent (aids moisture evaporation)Moderate
Dimensional stabilityGood (warp shrinkage ≤0.3%)Poor, prone to stretching and misalignment
Suitable line speed180–360 m/min≤180 m/min (low speed)
Service life & maintenanceLong, infrequent adjustmentShort, frequent maintenance
Recommended applicationHigh-speed, wide-width, high-quality boardLow-speed, old lines, budget priority

Processing and Splicing Requirements

Splices: Flat splices or invisible splices are preferred; steel-clip splices are strictly prohibited (to prevent scratching of the hot plate and the formation of periodic indentations).

Surface Treatment: Silicone coating or flocking may be applied to enhance friction and non-stick properties.

Edges: A reinforced edge (Kevlar edge) design is incorporated to minimize premature damage.
