Huatao Group, a trusted name in conveying equipment since 2002, has officially launched a comprehensive range of custom screw conveyors purpose‑designed for the palm oil industry. The new product line addresses the perennial issues of material sticking, bridging, and abrasive wear that plague standard conveying systems.
In palm oil processing, the handling of fresh fruit bunches, separated fruits, and residual press cake presents a formidable challenge. The high oil content and fibrous structure of palm fruits, combined with the tendency of palm oil to solidify at room temperature, create a material that is both adhesive and difficult to flow. Conventional screw conveyors often fail to maintain consistent throughput, leading to costly stoppages and frequent part replacements.
Huatao’s engineering team has developed a series of solutions that overcome these obstacles. Key features include:
Bespoke sizing: Every unit is manufactured according to the client’s required capacity, spatial constraints, and material characteristics. Diameters span 25‑800 mm, and lengths can be customised from 100 mm to 3,500 mm. The pitch is also adjustable to optimise conveying speed and fill rate.
Material resilience: Clients can select from galvanised carbon steel, stainless steel (including 304/316 grades for food contact), or aluminium alloy. The chosen materials are resistant to the corrosive effects of fatty acids and high temperatures, while wear‑resistant flight coatings extend component life.
Clog‑free operation: Proprietary flight designs and angled configurations prevent accumulation of sticky material. Enhanced sealing mechanisms also stop oil leakage and external contamination, preserving product quality.
Scalable capacity: Single‑screw models deliver approximately 500 kg/h, ideal for small‑scale mills. For larger operations, twin‑screw or multi‑screw arrangements provide capacities of 1 t/h, 5 t/h, or beyond 10 t/h, with the option to use electric or diesel drives.
