Safe operation is essential for maintaining stable production and extending the service life of a glass tempering furnace. Following proper operating procedures can effectively reduce equipment damage, production interruptions, and safety risks.
Key Safety Rules
Never lift the furnace chamber when the temperature exceeds 300°C, as rapid cooling may cause permanent structural deformation. Maintenance work should only begin after the power supply has been completely disconnected. Process parameters and electrical components must be adjusted only by qualified technicians. During welding operations, always disconnect the computer and control system and ensure proper grounding to protect electrical equipment.
Emergency Response
If glass breaks or becomes jammed inside the furnace, immediately activate the Emergency Stop and Early Glass Exit functions. If automatic unloading fails, stop heating first and carefully remove broken glass using dedicated maintenance tools. Avoid applying excessive force to quartz ceramic rollers, as damaged rollers may reduce glass quality and increase maintenance costs.
In the event of a power outage, activate the backup DC system to discharge the glass automatically. If the backup system is unavailable, manually rotate the rollers at regular intervals to prevent thermal deformation until the furnace cools for safe maintenance.
